A Brief Overview

Jelani Jabari, Ph.D., is president of Pedagogical Solutions, LLC, and author of Expecting Excellence in Urban Schools: 7 Steps to an Engaging Practice.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction and Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Evaluation and Research.    Since 2004, Pedagogical Solutions has partnered with learning communities throughout the United States and abroad to both enhance pedagogical practice and improve academic achievement. Jelani’s areas of expertise include:

  • Deepening students computational and procedural fluency in mathematics
  • Improving reading competencies of struggling readers
  • Designing and delivering engaging pedagogy

Anika Sandy-Hanson, Ph.D., has over 10 years of experience managing quantitative and qualitative studies and conducing data analysis of small and large data sets.  Dr. Sandy-Hanson has worked with a range of populations including Pre-K 12 schools, Fortune 500 firms, universities, non-profit organizations, and small community-based organizations. Anika’s areas of expertise include:

  • Developing and designing educational programs
  • Assessment practices
  • Collecting, coded, and analyzing qualitative studies
  • Managing sampling techniques
  • Survey development
